This policy explains what data Qeersh collects and how it is used and protected, under the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

1. Our role

Qeersh is the trading name of «منصة قرش» (Qeersh Platform, the legal name).

Merchants and their teams: Qeersh is responsible for this data.
Store customers: the merchant is responsible for it. Qeersh processes it on the merchant's behalf and instructions to run their store, under the data processing agreement the merchant accepts in their dashboard.

Account data: name, email, phone number and password (stored hashed).
Store and billing data: store name and address, subscription and invoices, and payment method.
Usage data: sign-ins and devices, a partly hidden IP address, and the store's activity log.
Store customers' data: name, phone number, address and orders, collected by the merchant through their store.
Store visitors: a visit counter that uses no cookies and no personal data, and advertising pixels only after the visitor agrees.

To run the platform and its services, and to process orders, payments and shipping.
For billing, fraud prevention and account security.
For support, and to contact you about your account and service updates.
To improve the platform with aggregated statistics that do not identify people.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use store customers' data for our own purposes.

Only as needed to provide the service, with:

the payment gateways, carriers and sales channels a merchant connects to their store;
messaging providers (email, WhatsApp, SMS and push) when they are turned on;
the AI provider when a merchant uses AI features. We send product data and totals only, never customers' names, phone numbers or addresses;
authorities when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside Egypt; we make sure they protect it appropriately.

Account and store data for as long as the subscription lasts, then 30 days so you can ask for a copy.
Invoices and financial records for as long as the law requires.
Abandoned carts and old logs are deleted automatically by the platform's retention settings.

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted keys and sensitive data, each store's data kept apart, two-step verification, and daily backups.

Within the law, you may see your personal data, correct it, ask for a copy, ask for it to be deleted, or object to its processing.

Merchants: from their account settings, or by contacting us.
Store customers: by contacting the store they bought from. The merchant can act on the request from the Data requests page in their dashboard.

We use cookies needed for signing in, the cart and security. Stores show a consent banner before any advertising pixels run.

Qeersh is meant for adult merchants. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 as users of the platform.

We may update this policy. We show the new date at the top and tell you about material changes in advance.
